Acapulco Bay
Acapulco 5k International Swim, also known as the 5k Acapulco Ronald Johnson Swim (or the Acapulco 5K International Ronald Johnson Open Water Swim, is held in Acapulco Bay (officially known as Acapulco de Juárez), a major sea port in the state of Guerrero on the Pacific coast of Mexico, 300 kilometers (190 mi) southwest from Mexico City. It offers a 1.5 km out-and-back course for children 10 years and under, a 2.5 km out-and-back course for those older than 10 years, and a 5 km point-to-point course for those at least 14 years across Acapulco Bay.

The event is organized by Acuática Nelson Vargas and the Mexican Swimming Federation and is one of the World's Top 100 Open Water Swims.

The 5 km event starts at Las Hamacas Beach and ends at CICI beach with a time limit of 2 hours. The pace per 100 meters must average 2:24 in order to make the time limit.
