Enviro-Sports' Sharkfest® Swim Series began with the Alcatraz Sharkfest® Swim back in 1993. After 17 years, Enviro-Sports started expanding the series by creating the San Diego Sharkfest Swim. Now Sharkies are making waves across across the nation in Augusta, Austin, Boston, Lake Tahoe, Newport (Rhode Island), Potomac River, San Diego, Zihuatanejo and under Golden Gate Bridge. Also, Charleston, Chicago, New York, St. Augustine and Washington DC are in sight for future Sharkfest® Swims. The San Diego Sharkfest® Swim is the National Sharkfest® Series Championship Event.

Each overall first place winner (male and female) from each year's Sharkfest® Swim win a spot to compete in the Championship event.
