Bill Heiss was a professional marathon swimmer in the 1970's and former Indiana University pool swimmer. He completed professional marathon swims such as the Pepsi Challenge Marathon Swim in Lake Michigan, finishing fifth in 15 hours 57 minutes, and the 24 Heures La Tuque relay together with John Kinsella in Quebec, Canada.
