Cadiz Human Rights Day Swim

The Cadiz Human Rights Day Swim is a 3 km race held annually on March 21st each year at Clifton 4th Beach in the Western Cape of South Africa.

Human Rights Day

The Human Rights Day commemorates the gunning down of demonstrators by police in Sharpeville and aims at promoting respect for human rights, the protection, development and attainment of human rights, and to monitor and assess the observance of human rights in South Africa. The race's beneficiary is Sisters Incorporated, a shelter for abused women and children, and is part of the Cadiz Swim Series.

Cadiz Swim Series

The Cadiz Swim Series includes the Cadiz Brian Curtis Mile, Cadiz Human Rights Day Swim, Cadiz Freedom Swim, Youth Day Swim, Women's Day Swim and Heritage Day Swim.
