Captain Don (Donald Jones) is an American boat captain and escort pilo who was born and raised in Tampa, Florida. He started fishing with his parents by the age of five and never stopped.

He has lived on the island of Kauai in Hawaii for over 20 years where he runs Captain Don's Sportfishing. He previously worked for Napali Adventures for years as a tour guide and boat captain.

His boat, The June Louise, is a 34 foot, twin diesel with a full range of electronics and all of the appropriate safety equipment. She has a cruising range of over 700 miles.

Captain Don Jones is certified with a 50 ton masters license, first aid and life saving. His boat has met all of the safety requirements of the U.S. Coast Guard. He escorted Penny Palfrey on two of her channel crossing attempts from the island of Oahu to Kauai in 2010.
