Carlos Costa

Carlos Costa is a double-leg amputee and Canadian open water swimmer who is a member of the 24-hour club due to his 45 km solo south-to-north swim across Lake Ontario in Canada on 22-23 July 1993 in 32 hours 43 minutes at the age of 20. He also completed a successful crossing of the Catalina Channel in 1993 and attempted a Lake Ontario crossing in 1992.
