Chad Ho is a 2008 South African Olympian and world-class open water swimmer. He was awarded both the South Africa Open Water Swimmer of the Year and Performance of the Year in 2011. He was the overall series winner of the 2010 FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup series and is an annual star at the Midmar Mile, winning three races in a row (a three-peat in 2010, 2011 and 2012), and many other open water swims in his native South Africa including the SPAR Redhouse River Mile. He also won the 2012 Great Manchester Swim in England and participated in Battle Training and annually competes in the King and Queen of the Sea competition in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. He finished fourth in the 5 km race at the 2013 FINA World Championships in Barcelona, Spain on 20 July 2013.
