Chris Bryan is a professional marathon swimmer from Ireland who competed in the FINA 10KM Marathon Swimming World Cup where he were ranked 38th.

The up-and-coming swimmer, who trains under coach Ronald Claes at Swim Ireland’s Limerick High Performance Centre, was the first Irish open water swimmer to race in an open water swimming event for Ireland at a World Championships.

At the 2011 World Swimming Championships in Shanghai, China, he place 8th out of 51 swimmers in the 5K event in 56 minutes and 28 seconds, only 11 seconds behind winner Thomas Lurz of Germany.
