Christian Palma is an accomplished photographer from Mexico. Born north of Mexico City, Palma holds an undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences at the Faculty of Political Sciences at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. In 1999, he entered the Photography Club of Mexico where he took his first photography courses and assisted in the Photo Image Center. At the Academy of San Carlos, he took a class in drawing and composition in the Cinematographic Training Centre, led by the Professor Leonardo García Tsao. There he also taught a graduate course in Film Appreciation and in the Film Studies University Center, he studied Film Appreciation under Jack Lach.

In 2000, Palma collaborated with the photo agency and magazine Cuartoscuro, working with the owner and director Pedro Valtierra. By 2002, he was invited to join the founding team of the Sports Journal Record, attending international events such as Copa Libertadores in Sao Paulo, Brazil and in Montevideo, Uruguay, in addition to covering news for the daily edition of the Pan American Games XIV Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. In 2003, he was awarded an honorable mention in "The Best of Newspaper Design" at the 25th edition of the Society for News Design.

In 2004, he began to collaborate with the Agency for Sports Photography Mexsport directed by Leah and David. He was sent to cover the South American Cup in Lima, Peru, and in Cuenca, Ecuador. He was assigned special envoy to cover the agency organizing the 2006 World Cup in Germany. In 2007, he made the cover of the edition XV Pan American Games in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In 2008, Palma was sent to cover the special edition of the XXIX Olympic Games in Beijing, China. He also provided photography for the FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix in Cancun, Mexico.

Nacido al norte de la Ciudad de México cursó la licenciatura en Ciencias de la Comunicación en la Facultad de Ciencias Políticas de la UNAM, en el año de 1999 entra al Club Fotográfico de México donde realizó los primeros diplomados de fotografía complementandolos en el Centro de la Imagen. En la Academia de San Carlos cursó un diplomado en dibujo y composición; en el Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC), dirigido por el Maestro Leonardo García Tsao, cursa el diplomado Apreciación Cinematográfica y en el Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos (CUEC) estudia el diplomado Apreciación de la Cinefotografía impartido por el Maestro Jack Lach. En el 2000 colabora con Agencia y Revista Cuartoscuro quien es dueño y Director Pedro Valtierra. Para el año 2002 es invitado a formar parte del equipo fundador del Diario Deportivo Récord, asistiendo a eventos internacionales como lo son Copa Libertadores en Sao Paulo, Brasil y en Montevideo, Uruguay; además de cubrir para el diario la edición XIV de los Juegos Panamericanos en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana. En el 2003 es reconocido con una mención honorífica en “The Best of newspaper design” en la 25 edición de la Society for News Desing. En el 2004 es comienza a colaborar a la Agencia de Fotografía Deportiva Mexsport dirigida por David Leah y es enviado a cubrir la Copa Sudamericana en Lima, Perú; y en Cuenca, Ecuador. Es enviado especial para la cobertura que realiza la agencia de la Copa Mundial de Futbol Alemania 2006. En el 2007 realiza la cobertura de la edición XV de los Juegos Panamericanos en la Ciudad de Rio de Janeiro, Brasil y para el 2008 es enviado especial para cubrir la edición XXIX de los Juegos Olímpicos celebrados en Beijing, China.
