Ciaran Byrne is an open water swimmer from Ireland who completed the unprecedented Cork to Cobh - First Crossing with Ned Denison, John Downes, Tadhg Harrington, Fergal Somerville and Linda Clarke.

He has completed the English Channel on 1 September 2010 in 14 hours 16 minutes as well as the Lough Erne 17 km swim in 2009 in 4 hours 39 minutes and numerous other swims like the Sandycove Island Challenge and GaddinAbtGarnish and Lee Swim.

He completed the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim on 23 June 2012.
