Conor Dwyer

Conor Dwyer (born 10 January 1989) is an American competitive swimmer and Olympic gold medalist. He competes in freestyle and medley events, and won a gold medal as a member of the winning USA 800m freestyle relay team at the 2012 London Olympic Games. He also participates in [[open water swim]s in the Cayman Islands, including the Flowers Sea Swim.

Dwyer was born in Evanston, Illinois, the son of an All-American swimmer for Florida State University. In addition to swimming in high school, he played baseball, lacrosse and water polo. In water polo, he earned third-team all-state and first-team all-section, all-region and all-league honors.
