77-year-old Conrad Wennerberg of the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame
Conrad Wennerberg is the Chairman Emeritus of the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame. He was inducted in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame in 1977 as an Honour Administrator.

Wennerberg is best known for his authoritative book, Wind, Waves and Sunburn: A Brief History of Marathon Swimming that is considered to be the most definitive work on marathon swimming.

Athletic and Coaching Career

Wennerberg swam over 12,874 km (8,000 miles) over the course of his career in addition to training with his athletes, including Ted Erikson and Dennis Matuch who were both inducted in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame as Honour Swimmers.
