Olympian Dan Veatch
Daniel 'Dan' Hayward Veatch is an Olympic swimmer for the United States who graduated from Princeton University. He specialized in backstroke, finishing seventh in the 200-meter backstroke at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. In addition to winning the gold medal in the 200-meter backstroke at the 1987 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Brisbane and the 1989 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Tokyo.

He pulled his hamstring just before the USA Swimming Olympic Trials for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and so missed those Games.

He has also an avid open water swimmer and will participate in the Swim for Equality in San Francisco and Malibu, California, U.S.A.
