Daphne Lyell was the physician for The Mad Swim, a stage swim and charity event.

The Mad Swim

The Mad Swim was a swim of 458 km by Thane Guy Williams and Jonno Proudfoot, a pair of South African open water swimmers, across the Mozambique Channel from Mozambique to Madagascar from 28 February to 24 March 2014 together with Captain Norman Horner as the escort pilot, first mate Vernon ‘Cubby’ Deas on the Ocean Adventurer together with David Karpul and deckhand Bodean Bosogne. The adventure and charity swim was called The Mad Swim.
