Duncan Mcleod was a crew member and pace swimmer for Ted Erikson's successful swim from the Farallon Islands to the Golden Gate Bridge in 1967 together with Captain Dave Kinley as the escort pilot, Paul Girard, Doug Lathrop, Frank Drum of the Dolphin Club as the observer, Jerry Thompson, John Parents as a pace swimmer, Colonel Stuart Evans as a pace swimmer, Ted Moffet, and Captain Hank Schram of the yacht Salmon Queen.
