Elizabeth Berns

Elizabeth Berns is an open water swimmer from Great Britain currently living in the Cayman Islands. She completed an unprecedented 9.76-mile (15.7 km) double crossing of the Cayman Brac Channel from Cayman Brac Island to Point of Sand on Little Cayman Island and back together with Alex Harling, Kerri Kanuga and Andrea Roach on 21 July 2012 in 10 hours 34 minutes. Their first leg was completed in 3 hours 15 minutes, and their second leg was 7 hours 19 minutes. She also completed the 8-mile Alligator Reef Lighthouse Swim in Islamorada, Florida on 21 September 2013.
