It hosts numerous international competitions, including the stages on the FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup pro circuit in Isla Cozumel and the FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix pro circuit in Isla Cozumelas well as sanctions and supports aquatic events for age-group athletes and masters swimmers.
