Fred Rogers

Fred Rogers is an American open water swimmer who became the first person to swim across Lake Tahoe in a race against Jose Cortinas. As the age of 32, Rogers completed the swim across Lake Tahoe on 21 July 1955 in 19 hours 6 minutes 6 seconds in a 19.96-mile crossing from Kings Beach to Bijou.
