Gail Drummer
From Openwaterpedia
Without ground level/entry level competitions the sport cannot grow. Under the leadership of Jennifer Parks and Gail Dummer and the support of Michigan Swimming, the first Central Zone Open Water Championships were conducted in Michigan and attracted a large number of participants. Their efforts and information shared with other zones and LSC contributed to the sport.
Along with Jennifer Parks, Gail was the 1994 recipient of the Glen S. Hummer Award recipient, an award given to the individual who makes the greatest contribution to the open water swimming in the United States.
