Gary Fitzgerald is an Irish open water swimmer and member of the Half Moon Swimming and Water Polo Club. At the age of 24 years old, he was the first person to swim the 'Kish', a 12 km traverse from the Kish Lighthouse in Dublin Bay to the Forty Foot in Dun Laoghaire in Ireland on 27 September 2013 in 4 hours 30 minutes and 25 seconds.
