Gideon Nasilowski, whose nickname is The Brave Swimmer, is an Namibian pool and open water swimmer who was born with arthogryposis multiplex congenita (AMC) which results in multiple join contracures, muscle weakness, and fibrosis. In March 2013, the Namibian Paralympian became the first disabled athlete to compete in the 2.1K Pointbreak Open Water Challenge in Lake Oanob, Nambia finishing in 92 minutes.
