noun - Goggles are forms of protective plastic eye wear that enclose and protect the area surrounding the eye in order to improve vision in the water and prevent particulates, water and chemicals from entering the eyes. Many types of goggles in a variety of colors, shapes, sizes and models are also available as optical goggles or prescription goggles for those with vision problems.

Manufacturers include Speedo, FINIS, and a variety of others including Swedish goggles.

Prescription Goggles

Prescription goggles are designed for corrective vision while swimming. These goggles include the following:
