Guy Crawford, known as Captain Awesome]], is a professional triathlete from Auckland, New Zealand who currently lives in Perth, Western Australia and specializes Half/ Ironman 70.3 distances

Crawford rode BMX races and represented Rotorua as a junior as well as played in a variety of sports such as soccer, rugby and harriers as a child.

Soon after Guy turned 11 they moved back to Auckland ( the big smoke) where he turned in the bike for running shoes and started running for Auckland city. He discovered triathlon in high school and competed in the 2005 age group world championships. He landed a job with blueseventy (formerly Ironman Wetsuits), taking on sponsorship and event responsibilities, dealing with athletes and event organizers worldwide. In 2008 he started to race half ironman's / 70.3's but by the end of 2009 he became a full-time professional triathlete.
