Hendrik Meerman is an American pool and open water swimmer from California who became the 57th person to complete the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming. He completed the English Channel in 2006 in 13 hours 12 minutes with the Channel Swimming & Piloting Federation, the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim in 2011 in 8 hours 24 minutes and the Catalina Channel in 12 hours 48 minutes on 10 August 2012 to join the Catalina Channel Half Century Club. He has also completed a swim from the South End Rowing Club in Aquatic Park, around Angel Island and back to Aquatic Park in 4 hours 46 minutes and other swims such as the Kingdom Swim in 2010 in 5 hours 35 seconds.
