John Mathews is an American open water swimmer who was a member of the Night Train Swimmers's successful relay team that swam 26.4 nautical miles from the Golden Gate Bridge to the Farallon Islands on 20 May 2011 in 14 hours 45 minutes with Darrin Connolly, Dave Holscher, Vito Bialla, and Kim Chambers.
