Julie Galloway holds the overall record for the Island of Jersey circumnavigation in 9 hours 32 minutes 45 seconds (Jersey Solo). Her record-setting solo swim was nominated for the 2011 World Open Water Swimming Performance of the Year.

Julie set her record in the Island of Jersey that is located in the English Channel approximately 14 miles (22K) from Normandy, France and approximately 100 miles (162K) south of Great Britain. It is a scenic terrain ranging from long sandy bays to rugged cliffs that is approximately 43.5 miles (70K) of coastline.

Jersey is the largest and southernmost of the Channel Islands. First circumnavigation swim successfully completed in 1969. Water temperature is 64ºF (17.7ºC) and the swim is tidal assisted if timed right.
