Karley Stutzel was the Canadian open water swimmer of the year in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004. She competed on the FINA 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup and FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix professional circuits and represented Canada at the 2001 World Swimming Championships in Fukuoka, Japan, 2003 World Swimming Championships in Barcelona, Spain, and 2005 World Swimming Championships in Montreal, Canada.
