Kathryn Neff is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and a combat engineer (sapper) officer noted for her swimming skills, and a captain in the United States Marines who made history by graduating Number 1 in the Army's Sapper Leader Course in 2012 and the first interservice graduate to win the Sapper Spirit Award.
