Kevin Laflamme is the président-fondateur de la Traversée du Lac Mégantic that organizes the Traversee international du Lac Mégantic, a FINA 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup event (also called the FINA 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup 2012 - Lac Megantic) held in Lac Mégantic in Quebec, Canada. The event is held in August with prize money of US$23,000 + CA$2,000. The event is one of Canada's Top Open Water Swims and one of the World's Top 100 Open Water Swims and received the President's Award from Swimming Canada in 2013.

The Traversée internationale du lac Mégantic is a 10 km point-to-point solo marathon swim and is part of the FINA 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup circuit in lac Mégantic. Each swimmer must be accompanied by a qualified coach and must confirm their participation.
