Monika Hayes is a 50-year-old open water swimmer from Cape Town, South Africa who participated in the inaugural 5.3 km Atlantic Dash and other swims in South Africa including the Ashanti Mile and the Clifton Cold Water Mile and the the Swim For Hope, an 8 km ocean swim from Diaz Beach to Buffels Bay around Cape Point in South Africa which she completed in 2 hours 38 minutes.
