noun - Neptune (Latin: Neptūnus) is the ancient Roman god of the sea. Neptune is identified with the Greek god of the sea Poseidon.

Neptune was the Roman god of water and the sea in Roman mythology and religion. Neptune was the brother of Jupiter and Pluto, each of them presiding over one of the three realms of Heaven, Earth and the Netheregions. Neptune was also associated with fresh water.
