Paul Girard

Paul Girard was a crew member on Ted Erikson's attempt to swim from the Farallon Islands to the Golden Gate Bridge in 1966 together with Fred Kluck, Nancy Girard, Ike Papke, nurse Betty Davis, and Captain Dave Kinley He was the former bureau chief for the Vallejo Times Herald in California.

In 1967, he was a crew member on Erikson's successful swim from the Farallon Islands to the Golden Gate Bridge in 1967 together with Captain Dave Kinley as the escort pilot, Doug Lathrop, Frank Drum of the Dolphin Club as the observer, Jerry Thompson, Duncan Mcleod as a pace swimmer, John Parents as a pace swimmer, Colonel Stuart Evans as a pace swimmer, Ted Moffet, and Captain Hank Schram of the yacht Salmon Queen.
