Paul Newsome of Swim Smooth
Paul Newsome is an open water swimmer from Australia who successfully completed the English Channel on 9 September 2011 in 12 hours 14 minutes and has completed the Rottnest Channel Swim 4 times as well as won the 2013 Manhattan Island Marathon Swim. He is the founder and Head Coach of Swim Smooth, together with Adam Young.

He also writes “Swim Plus” for H2Open Magazine.

His life in competitive swimming started at the age of 7 in Bridlington, East Yorkshire, England. He joined the UK's World Class Potential program at Bath University whilst studying for his Sports Science Degree and became a British Universities Triathlon Champion and came 11th at the World Student Games.
