Pirates Week 5k Swim

The Pirates 5k Swim is an open water swim held on Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman in the Cayman Islands and organized under the auspices of the Cayman Islands Amateur Swimming Association.

History

The race has been held for 35 years and is annually held in November as part of the Cayman Islands' world-famous Pirates Week, an 11-day celebration of history, fun, festivities and sporting events.

Course

The course is a 5 km point-to-point course that is held along Seven Mile Beach.

Fee

CIASA members: CI$10.00 for children and CI$ 15.00 for adults.
Non-members: CI$15.00 for children and CI$ 20.00 for adults

Race Caps

Race caps will be provided upon registration and swimmers are required to wear them to ensure safety during the race.

Post-race

Plaques for the first 4 male & female finishers. Medals for the age group winners: 1st, 2nd & 3rd. T-shirts and refreshments for all participants.
