Prakash Kharvi at finish of his 3 km handcuffed swim from St. Mary's Island to Malpe Beach in India
Prakash Kharvi is a disabled Indian open water swimmer who swam 3 km in 7 hours in the Arabian Sea with both his hands handcuffed behind his back. The polio victim started swimming from St. Mary's Island and reached Malpe Beach on 7 February 2011.

He also swam between Hangarkatte estuary and Malpe Beach in four and half hours on 31 December 2007 and from the Gangolly estuary to Kodi Kanyana Beach on 31 December 2008 in 7 hours.
