Kinmen or Quemoy is a small archipelago of several islands administered by Taiwan: Greater Kinmen, Lesser Kinmen, and some islets. Administratively, it is Kinmen County of Fujian Province, Republic of China (Taiwan). The county is claimed by the People's Republic of China (PRC) as part of its own Fujian Province's Quanzhou Prefecture.

It is geographically near Xiamen, China. It sits on the Taiwan Strait and is the start of the Xiamen-Kinman Swim.

The Xiamen-Kinman Swim is an 8 km ocean swim across the Taiwan Strait from Kinmen, Taiwan to Xiamen, China held in August. The swim is ranked among the Top 50 Open Water Swims In Asia.
