Rajiv Trivedi
Rajiv Trivedi is an Indian open water swimmer and police officer who crossed the Strait of Gibraltar on 8 August 2001 at the age of 40 in 5 hours 28 minutes, starting at Lanchones, Spain. He also crossed the English Channel in 2001 in 13 hours.

At the age of 50, he crossed the Palk Strait in 2011 between India and Sri Lanka in 12 hours 31 minutes together with 48-year-old Balasaheb Ramchandra Ghadge. They started the 30 km long swim from Talaimannar coast at 4 am on 25 March and reached Dhanushkodi, a city at the southern tip of Rameswaram island in Tamil Nadu, at 4:30 pm.
