Ray Peden was one of the original Ironmen, having completed the 1982 Ironman Triathlon World Championships in Hawaii in 1982. He also completed the
English Channel in 1986 and is currently assisting other open water swimmers, including
Paul Timmons, and a member of the Middle Atlantic Open Water Swimming Committee as well as a lifeguard at Rehoboth Beach Patrol.
