Rhys Mainstone, Swimming WA’s 2010 Swimmer of the Year
Rhys Mainstone-Hodson (born 27 February 1990) is an Australian professional open water swimmer who specializes in the 5 km and 10 km marathon swimming distances. He participated in the 2011 FINA World Championships in Shanghai, China and came second in the 5 km team pursuit event together with Ky Hurst and Melissa Gorman. he also has his sights set on representing Australia at the 2016 Rio Olympics. He won the 43rd annual Waikiki Roughwater Swim on Oahu in Hawaii, the 2012 FINA 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup in Hong Kong, and the 2013 BHP Billiton Aquatic Super Series Open Water Challenge 10km race in Perth, Australia.
