River Bhagirathi is a turbulent Himalayan river in India that is the source stream of the Ganges, the holy river of Hinduism. It is also the venue of the annual India National Open Water Swimming Competition, the second longest open water swim in the world and the longest amateur marathon swimming competition, an event in the Top 50 Open Water Swims In Asia and the World's Top 100 Open Water Swims.
