Robert Margalis

Robert Margalis (born 8 February 1982 in Queens, New York) is an American individual medley swimmer who won the gold medal in the men's 400m individual medley event at the 2003 Pan American Games. At the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, he captured three silver medals. He also competes in open water swimming competitions and has won both the 2012 and 2013 Don Burns Scholarship Swim in Corona del Mar, California and is married to former USA Swimming national team member Beth Margalis. He holds the U.S. Masters Swimming national Hour Postal Swim record for the 18-24 age group.
