Scheerwolde Classic Swim in the Netherlands was founded by Marty Veen and is a long-standing pioneering innovative event. It was the first 5K swim, the first timed race, the first relays, races with more than 30 starts, and the site of many Open Dutch Championships with masters and age-group races.
