noun - Social kicking is easy, low-stress kicking done by pool swimmers with a kick board together with friends and teammates. It usually done after a hard main set and the bulk of a pool workout is over, and is characterized by chatting with lane mates.

The masters swimmers usually did a social kick set after the aerobically-challenging main set is over.
