Spyros Gianniotis

Spyridon ("Spyros") Gianniotis (Greek: Σπυρίδων "Σπύρος" Γιαννιώτης; born February 19, 1980 in Liverpool, Merseyside) is a distance freestyle specialist from Greece, who was born in England. He won three individual medals at the 2005 Mediterranean Games, and represented his native country at three consecutive Summer Olympics, starting in 2000.He is one of the fastest marathon swimmers in the world and finished fourth in the Olympic 10K Marathon Swim at the 2012 London Olympics. He subsequently won the 2012 FINA 10K Marathon Swimming World Cup circuit.
