St. Vincent's Foundation Swim Across the Sound is one of the longest marathon swims in the world and is a long-conducted charity solo swim and relay competition to benefit the St. Vincent's Foundation. This swim field is composed of solo swimmers, team relays of 2-6 swimmers. In addition to the “Traditional” and University Challenge” team relays, a new non-wetsuit category called “Classic” is contested. All the team members in this category must wear lycra-type suits only.
