Staff Open Water World Championships

The USA Swimming national open water swimming team staff at the 2005 FINA World Swimming Championships was the 2005 recipient of the Glen S. Hummer Award, an award given to the group/individual who makes the greatest contribution to the open water swimming in the United States.
It returned the World Championship team to prominence that they once held. The team won three medals at the world championships. It was their best showing in years. It was not a single persons efforts but rather a team approach that provided the results. The entire staff is recognized for their excellent performance.
