Steve Barnicoat

Steve Barnicoat is an American Olympic pool swimmer and open water swimming enthusiast. A native of Mission Viejo, California, he was a 4-time High School All American, National High School Champion and Record holder (100 Backstroke - 1980). He was a 3-time NCAA All-American at UCLA (1981) and SMU (1984 and 1985) and was a 3-time USA National Champion in the 200m backstroke and represented the USA at the 1980 Olympic Team and 1982 World Championship team. He has been coaching masters swimmers at the Dallas Aquatic Masters (DAM) and in Orlando, Florida.

Dallas Aquatic Masters

DAM or the Dallas Aquatic Masters is one of the largest masters swimming teams in the world. Co-founded and co-owned by Bobby Patten and Olympic champion Jim Montgomery, it is a year-round adult swimming team geared towards swimming in the pool and open bodies of water for fitness, fun and competition. DAM offers expertly designed adult group swim programs and adult private lessons to suit the needs of adults of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds.
