Steve Haumschild
Steve Haumschild is a experienced professional expedition guide currently living in Kailua, Hawaii. He specializes in the planning, logistics and execution of a variety of different outdoor adventures from Channel swimming, Sea Kayaking, Stand Up Paddling, Whitewater Kayaking, Whitewater Rafting, Mountain Climbing, Jungle Trekking, Surfing and just about any other adventure you can think of locally, nationally and internationally.

He has over 13 years of recorded professional experience from expedition leading, to guide training. He has performed rescues throughout the oceans and rivers of the world. Haumschild holds First Aid, CPR, National Association of Search and Rescue (NASAR), Wilderness First Responder (inactive). He is one of few experienced escort kayakers for the Ka'iwi (Molokai) Channel.

He is also the co-race director with Jeff Kozlovich, of the 28-mile (45 km) Ka'iwi Channel Swim between the islands of Molokai and Oahu in Hawaii. He also helped escort Leahi Camacho across the Molokai Channel on 17 August 2013 as well as Kimberly Chambers, Penny Palfrey, Darren Miller, Katie Benoit, and Beth French.

He is also the co-founder of the Kaiwi Channel Association, the governing body of relay swims across the Molokai Channel.
