Steve Schlanger
Steve Schlanger, a resident of St. Louis, Missouri, will do the play-by-play at the Olympic 10km Marathon Swim, cycling and triathlon at the 2012 London Olympic Games for NBC's television broadcast in America. He will work with 5-time NBC Olympic announcer Rowdy Gaines who will serve as the analyst in the Olympic 10km Marathon Swim at the Serpentine on 9 August (women) and 10 August (men).

Schlanger is both a veteran and versatile TV presence with some 15 years experience in the TV industry as an on-air personality. Besides calling play-by-play for close to 30 different sports in his career and for several national networks.

His broadcasting skills are rooted in sports announcing with national play-by-play assignments for networks like ESPN, Fox Sports, The Golf Channel, CSTV, The Big Ten Network, The NHL Network and The World Championships Sports Network. Steve has served as the voice of such prestigious events as the World Cup Alpine Skiing Tour, the World Hockey Championships and the World Cycling Championships. He has called Major League Baseball play-by-play for the St. Louis Cardinals and also spent several years in the NFL on the St. Louis Rams Radio Network. Among his reporting duties, He has conducted one-on-one interviews with some of sports biggest names like Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan.

In addition to sports, Schlanger has hosted entertainment oriented shows on networks such as VH1 and Discovery Channel.

His writing and producing backgrounds include unscripted programming for major cable networks and documentary films that have been distributed globally.
