BHP Billiton Aquatic Super Series Open Water Challenge (also known for its Swim the Swan open water event) is a pool swimming, open water swimming and water polo extravaganza in Perth, Western Australia on 18-20 January 2013. The 2013 event's main 10 km race was won by Rhys Mainstone and 2-time Olympian Melissa Gorman. The 1.25 km race was won by Ryan Napoleon.

The 2014 event's showcase 10 km race was won by Jarrod Poort of Australia and Ashley Twichell of the U.S.A. The 5 km race was won by Heidi Gan of Malaysia and Yasunari Hirai of Japan.

Prize Money

Together with title sponsor BHP Billiton and Eventscorp, the events division of Tourism Western Australia, the Aquatic Super Series Open Water Challenge is set in the Swan River with a $15,000 first prize awarded to the quickest man and woman. There will be over $100,000 in total cash prizes offered to top swimmers ages from 18-99 years. The prize money is offered by division, age and distance:
